Virtual 2020 winter holiday concert

It’s a challenging year and an unusual holiday season for all, especially for those lives directly impacted and all the people fighting in the frontline. It is our responsibility and duty for us to send out a message that “we are fighting it together”.

We call for talented artists, singers, musicians, and everyone else to participate in our virtual holiday concert. Record a short video of your performance and send it to us. We will create a compilation of videos and present it to our seniors and essential workers to bring them holiday greetings. You will become a star in our winter concert, which will be broadcasted out to local communities!

Many people joined and submitted videos, and they did a great job. You can watch the videos here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDu0T0VRIl3E2cQrH4xElwLdTzJTYv7Ll

Decorate a bag

We are proud of participating in the “Kid’s Bags” project hosted by OPEN TABLE (https://www.opentable.org). Preparing individual “kid’s bags” is a wonderful group project and a fun way for children to get involved with helping others. For more information about how to participate, please email us warmhandsma@gmail.com.

Free Virtual Summer Camp

2020 summer was a unique period when most summer camps were closed due to COVID-19 virus. We organized a week-long free online summer camp to help students to learn from home. We offered various subjects, including Debate Club, Creek History, Typing Club, Game Theory, Beginner Chinese, and Baking. All teachers are our teenage volunteers.

Gaining Ground

In the past couple years, we organized several group visits to  Gaining Ground in Concord, MA. (https://gainingground.org/).

Our volunteers had a lot of fun and helped in various projects, including planting, mulching, fertilizing, and harvesting.

Cradles to Crayons

We visited Cradles to Crayons (https://www.cradlestocrayons.org/boston/) in groups several times in the past. We collected donations from local communities and brought to their warehouse. In  their warehouse, our young and adult volunteers helped to sort, clean, and package donations for needed kids throughout the state of Massachusetts.
